Jyeshta Maas:

Jyeshta month is the third month of the Hindu calendar. This month is considered as the hottest month. It is believed that the name of the month is based on the Jyeshta Nakshatra. It is said that the moon is in the Jyeshta Nakshatra on the day of Jyeshta Purnima that is why the month is named Jyeshta. Worshipping Lord Hanuman is considered to be very auspicious in this month. It is said that Lord Hanuman met Lord Ram in this month. But Jyeshta month is dedicated to Lord Brahma. Brahma Puja is the most beneficial ritual of the Jyeshta month. The sun remains strong in the month of Jyeshta and thus donating water in the month of Jyeshta has special significance.

Durga Devi Pujan symbolizes the victory of good over evil, as Devi Durga is believed to be “Jagat Janini” and is the power behind all life and creation. The Puja invokes the motherly aspect of the Devi for removing the sufferings of entire mankind. The benefits of the Devi Puja are Health & well-being, Prosperity and Knowledge. In times of distress like the current pandemic, it is the power from a Devi Puja that strengthens us to overcome all distress and pain.

7 th & 8 th June 2021 Monday & Tuesday

Rudralife is organizing a special Anushthaan which begins on 7 th June on the occasion of Som Pradosh which will continue through the night and will culminate on the auspicious occasion of Masik Shivratri on 8 th June. The Anushthaan involves ritualistic Abhishek of Lord Shiva and adorning the Shivalinga with 1000 Bilwa Patra with the chants of Shiva Sahastranama. This will be followed by chanting of 11,000 Samputit Maha Mrutyunjaya Mantras. The Mantra is as follows: ,

Aum Hraum Juum Saha Aum Bhur Bhuvah Svah AumTryambakam Yajaamahe Sugandhim Pushtivardhanam Urvaarukamiva Bandhanaan Mrityormuksheeya Maamritaat Aum Svah Bhuvah Bhu Aum Sah Juum Hraum Aum ||

After the chanting of Mantra, it will be followed by Dashaansh Havan and then Maha Aarti will be performed ritualistically completing the Anushthaan on the day of Masik Shivratri.

Rudrabhishek is one of the most powerful and beneficial ritual which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Rudrabhishek is the ritual bath of the Shiv Lingam with Gangajal and offering of Bilwa Patra. It is said that the leaves of Bilwa Patra are Lord Shiva’s favorite. According to the scriptures, the three leaves of Bilwa Patra represent the three eyes of Lord Shiva and as well as the Trident. The Bilwa Patra also symbolizes the Trinity: Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. Lord Shiva is also known by the name of Rudra - that represents his fiercest form.

Rudrabhishek is one of the most significant ritual to please Lord Shiva and seek his blessings. It is considered to be one of the greatest spiritual observance in the Vedic scriptures.
