Maha Shivratri is a festival, celebrated annually with devotion and religious enthusiasm by worshipping Lord Shiva. Arrival of summer marks Maha Shivratri which means "The Great Night of Shiva". Lord Shiva got married to Goddess Parvati on this day. It is said that after the death of Sati, Lord Shiva went into deep meditation. Sati reincarnated as Parvati to become the consort of Lord Shiva. Hence, Maha Shivratri marks the union of Shiva and Parvati on the 14th day of the dark fortnight in the month of Phalgun. Maha Shivratri is a solemn event notable for its introspective focus, fasting, meditation on Lord Shiva, self-study, social harmony and an all-night vigil at Shiva temples. Another legend of Maha Shivratri states that during the mythical churning of the ocean – Samudra Manthan conducted by the Gods and the demons for obtaining the nectar first the pot of poison emerged.
Laghu Rudra Paath is one of the most powerful and beneficial puja which is dedicated to the Lord Shiva.Lord Shiva has eleven forms of Rudra, and in this Paath all the eleven Rudras are worshipped. As mentioned in the Shiv Puran, Abhishek is performed to all the eleven Rudras.The Paath is performed by 11 pundits and each Pundits recite Sri Rudram 11 times – i.e. total 121 times Rudra japa and all of this is performed as mentioned in the Vedic scriptures.
Benefits: The ritual of Laghu Rudra is of great importance in this uncertain pandemic period. This Paath benefits a person suffering from planetary Doshas, ailments and miseries. It also helps in improving relationship, good health, career, business and helps in experiencing positivity.

It is said that the leaves of Bel patra are Lord Shiva’s favorite. According to the scriptures, the three leaves of Bel patra represent the three eyes of Lord Shiva and as well as the Trident.The three-leaf Bel patra also symbolizes the Trinity: Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh.Lord Shiva is also known by the name of Rudra - that represents his fiercest form. The Shiv Rudrabhishek with Bilwarchan refers to the ritual bath of the Shiv Lingam with Bel Patra. It is one of the most significant and popular ceremonies to please Lord Shiva and is seen as the greatest spiritual puja in all the Vedic scriptures.

Char Prahar Puja mainly governs the four parts of life. The four parts of life are Dharma, Kama, Artha and Moksha. Char Prahar means the first Prahar of the day begins at sunrise and the fourth Prahar of the day ends at the sunset.

There are four parts in a night; the first part is called Pradosh Kaal. This period is related to Dharma aspect of the human life. The deity worshipped will be the Ishaan form of Mahadev. In this period Gangajal and Kushajal will be used to perform a Mahabhishek on the Shivling.
Benefits: This Abhishek strengthens the Dharma aspect in the devotee.
The second part of the night is called Nishith Kaal. This period is related to the Artha aspect of human life. The Aghor form of Mahadev will be worshiped in this Prahar. During this period, a Mahabhishek will be performed on the Shivling with sugarcane and pomegranate juice.
Benefits: This Abhishek strengthens the Artha aspect of human life. Artha is related to all the material substances.
The third part of the night is the Triama period. This period is related to the Kama aspect in our lives. In this Prahar, Mahadev’s Vamadev Swaroop will be worshiped. During this period, a Mahabhishek will be performed with honey and cow's ghee;
Benefits: This Abhishek strengthens the Kama aspect of human life. Kama is related to fulfilment of human desires.
The fourth part of the night is Usha Kaal. This period is related to the Moksha aspect in our lives. In this period the Tapasviney Swaroop of Mahadev will be worshipped. During this period, the Mahabhishek of the Shivling will be performed with the water of 7 holy rivers.
Benefits: This Abhishek strengthens the Moksha aspect of human life. Moksha is to renounce all desires and unite one’s mind and become one with Mahadev.
